Museums
Buying a Museum Pass can save hours spent in queues outside the museums such as the Louvre, though it does not provide access to the special exhibitions, which are separately priced. A 5 day pass costs 45E, a 3 day pass costs 30E.
The Museum
Pass can be purchased in RATP stations (eg Gar du Nord, and Gar St Lazare are the closest rail stations to the apartment), in the museums and monuments participating, Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau and in FNAC stores.
If you have only a few days in Paris, it may be worthwhile pre-purchasing a Museum Pass before you leave home: go to http://www.conciergerie.com/main.htm?O=CC
Bateux-mouche (river boat) cruise on the Seine
When you are tired of walking, try a sightseeing lunch or dinner cruise on the Seine.

Personal Security
Generally, Paris is a safe city and the major crime problem encountered by tourists are the very professional pickpocket gangs working on the Metro and around other public areas near the major galleries, the Eiffel Tower, etc. Be careful and be aware at all times when entering or leaving the Metro. Carry as little cash as possible in your wallet or handbag and split your credit cards with your partner so you don’t lose all at once if you do fall victim to these predators. And don’t forget to take out travel insurance when you decide to travel.
